Rectory Homes has now lodged an outline planning application with West Northamptonshire Council to build 31 houses off Hampton Drive, King’s Sutton. Click here to view the application and associated documents (WNS/2022/0071/MAO) on the planning portal.

Local residents who have views on the proposed development should make them known to the planning authority via the comments tab on that page. The deadline for submitting comments is February 17, 2022. Normally, all comments on local planning applications are published on the portal, but the council’s current administrative issues may mean this isn’t possible. However, King’s Sutton Parish Council has been assured it will be copied on every comment made by members of the public, so there is no need to send comments to the Parish Clerk.

Although the closing date for submission of the parish council’s views is February 9, 2022, the parish clerk has obtained an extension until March 7. This means that the parish Council’s planning committee and the full council (as a statutory consultee) will have an initial discussion on the proposal at its February 3 meetings and decide its final views at its March 3 meeting in time for submission by the deadline. Please note that the February 3 planning committee meeting will be held at 18:30 (rather than the usual 19:00 start). All four of these meetings will, as ever, be held at the Millennium Memorial Hall and will be open to members of the public.

As this is a major development application, the planning committee of unitary councillors will determine its outcome rather than its being a delegated planning officer decision.
