Brackley Wind Ensemble is a lively group of wind players who meet once a week on Wednesday evenings in central Brackley. The group has been playing since 2004. We have players from Banbury, Towcester, Buckingham and surrounding villages. Our music covers a vast range, so something for everyone, from popular well known pieces such as Cantina Band (from Star Wars) and the ever popular Pink Panther theme tune, to the well-loved classical pieces such as Handel’s Water Music and Haydn’s Feld-Pathie in F. We play a lively Marche Militaire by Franz Schubert and a fast and joyous Liberty Bell March by John Philip Sousa. Whether modern or traditional, the pieces we play are well suited to a woodwind ensemble and are both fun to play and listen to we hope!
